2024-2025 Scholarship

Baria Mitra Mandal is thrilled to unveil the 2024-2025 Scholarship Program for students from Baria Community attending College. This initiative is designed to support and uplift our community's students as they work towards their educational aspirations. We invite all eligible students to apply and seize this opportunity to enhance their academic paths. Together, we can create a brighter future!

Criteria for Eligibility for BMM Chicago Scholarship Application
 

  • Student must be enrolled in the college for the academic year 2024-2025

  • 1 Scholarship to be awarded for $1000.00

  • Applicants enrolled full-time in baccalaureate programs in spring 2025 are the primary candidates for the awards.

  • Students must submit an application and all required information by the deadline (December 22nd 2024).

  • Recipients will be notified by the 2nd week of January (January 21, 2025) and also recipient information will be posted on BMM Chicago group  at the same time

  • Completed application form with all supporting documentation must be emailed to bmmchicago@gmail.com  no later than December 31st 2024 or if sent via mail then it must be postmarked by December 31st 2024 and received within one week. No late applications or parts of the application packet will be accepted.

  • Immediate family members (Spouse & Kids) of the Baria Scholarship advisory board are ineligible

  • Scholarship recipient selection(s) will be made without regard to race, age, gender, religion, political beliefs, employment status, or any other factor, which could constitute unfair or illegal discrimination

  • Student must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder and must attend college in the U.S. or Canada during the duration of the scholarship year

  • Student must be in good standing, have a minimum of a 3.2 cumulative overall grade point average at his/her college or university, and be enrolled full-time during the spring semester when application is made

  • Student must submit a transcript from all colleges/universities attended with his/her application

  • Transcripts must indicate cumulative grade point average.

  • Decisions of the Baria Scholarship advisory board are final in all matters related to the awarding of the scholarship

  • Copy of letter of acceptance from college, university or vocational education institution applicant will attend, or statement explaining acceptance or college transcript from Fall 2024 semester

  • Former scholarship recipients may apply annually
